Even through colonization and the patriarchal God that has reigned for centuries: the Divine Feminine was never taken from us, She never left us, only buried Herself deeper within us.
What we see now is Her resurrection. Yet, Her resurrection is not an external one. There is no second coming. She is resurrecting from within us.
She is the second coming. We are the vessel, the temple, for the second coming. She rises up within all of us.
She was here, her love filled her land for millennia and supported her people. Yet, the demise of the Feminine brought on by the Indo-Europeans in ~5500-3000 B.C.E: (Gimbutas, 63 Weaving the Visions) called her to retreat within us.
For She could not be casted out. She decided to rest within each of us and to come forth when it was time.
It is now time, for some of us.
To aid in her rising we must meet ourselves in the shadows for this is where she resides. She is hidden within each one of us and is rising.
As in Hindu Tantra the Kundalini (Shakti – the Female energy) rises up through the chakra centers to meet Shiva. She is now rising. She is the one within us crying out for justice. “No longer” She roars.
Some of us have heard Her call, many are called but few will hear the call.
And yet others are not yet ready to receive the divine love of an unconditionally loving Mother so they condemn Her, buckling down harder on their patriarchal viewpoints that keep a fear-based, controlling, conditionally loving father god at the helm of many injustices.
She is the dark Mother within, our Divine Mother, The Mother of All, our original mother from Africa (Birnbaum, Lucia Chiavola, 7). Honoring our dark Mother gives a whole new meaning to shadow work.
Shadow work uncovers the layers that keep the Feminine, Her, constricted. In my opinion, healing work is the most important work we can do; whether that is at the micro, meso, or macro level; healing our shadows unleashes the Divine Mother within.
